At The Smile Studio of Milton, we believe dental care should be based on what’s best for you — not what an insurance company dictates.


That’s why we are an out-of-network dental practice, meaning we do not contract directly with any insurance plans. However, we still accept your PPO dental insurance benefits.  This allows patients to choose us as a provider based on quality and expertise rather than an insurers list. Patients can expect clear pricing, personalized treatment, and exceptional care every step of the way.

  • Why don’t you take my insurance?

    Great question! We do take your insurance, we just are not contracted with your insurance company.  We have chosen to stay out-of-network so that we can spend the time needed with each patient and use the best materials and labs, rather than being limited by insurance fee schedules or treatment restrictions.  It allows us to focus on what is best for you- not what the insurance company thinks is best for you.  Remember- the insurance company does not have your best interest in mind.

  • Do you accept my insurance?

    Yes we do! We accept most PPO insurance plans.  The acronym “PPO” basically means that you as the patient are allowed to chose the doctor that you want to see- instead of the insurance company telling you the doctor they will allow you to see.

  • What does a new patient cleaning cost?

    This is a tricky question. Because we don’t treat our patients like cookie-cutter patients.  All of our patients get customized treatments based on their individual health and needs. We don’t like to guess when it comes to your health or your finances. We will check everything first, explain exactly what is needed and go over all costs before starting any treatment so there are no surprises.  However, a first visit with Dr. Coleman and our hygiene team always involves a Comprehensive exam and all necessary radiographs. When asked about her super power of choice, Dr. Coleman always wishes she had xray vision to be able to practice dentistry without radiographs :)


    For this reason- we are pleased to offer a special benefit for any new patient with dental insurance.  Any portion of your initial xrays not covered by your insurance will be covered by our office as a welcome courtesy.

  • What is Cherry Financing and how does it work?

    Cherry Financing is a 3rd party financing company that we and our patients love to work with.  Cherry allows you to spread your payments out instead of paying all at once.  You can finance small or large treatment plans.  It is a super easy process and it takes less than 60 seconds to apply.  There is NO hard credit check and 0% APR is available for qualifying patients.

  • I don't have dental insurance- can I still be a patient at your office?

    Absolutely! You don't need  insurance to receive care at our office.  In fact, many of our patients choose to enroll in our private membership plan, which was created to make high-quality dental care more accessible and predictable.  The plan includes your routine preventative visits and offers exclusive savings on treatment with no deductibles, waiting periods, or insurance restrictions. 


    Consistent with our philosophy- this allows you to receive care based on what is best for your health- not what an insurance company dictates.
